About Hannah LeGrand

Hannah LeGrand is an actively performing classical violinist and educator, based in New York City. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from the Greatbatch School of Music. 

 Hannah has worked with a number of reputable teachers and performers from institutions such as the Eastman School of Music, Frost School of Music, Syracuse University, Boston Conservatory, the Juilliard School, Mannes at the New School, and NYU. She has also attended Summer Strings at NYU, Meadowmount School of Music, and the Castleman Quartet Program, during the summers. 

Hannah has had the opportunity to perform at venues and festivals like Carnegie Hall, the Kodak Center for Performing Arts, the Music and Gaming Festival, and more. In 2022, she was an artist-in-residence at ArtsDistrict Brooklyn for the Limitless AI installation. She has toured twice with The Sorrow Estate, now GIRLLOVE, as a violinist/vocalist/bassist. Hannah is passionate about chamber music, collaborating in the studio, writing arrangements, composing, improvising, and teaching.

In 2021, Hannah self-published a pedagogical text, “Understanding the Fingerboard: An Anthology of Exercises for the Beginner Violinist.”
